A few days I caught this story out of Charlotte, North Carolina

In the story a teenager supposedly managed to hide in the wheel storage on a flight leaving out of Charlotte , stay there the entire flight, and then fall to his death upon approach in Massachusetts. Of course this is all still being investigated so who knows what really happened at this point....but an extension of the story is what floored me.

The family has decided to sue the airport. Really? When are parents going to take responsibility for their children. Why are they not negligent because their child was putting others in danger? Don't get me wrong, I am sorry for this family's loss....but this is ridiculous!
Although my heart aches for this poor family (I can't imagine the pain they must be feeling) I agree that it isn't the airport's fault. Their son broke the rules (actually laws by avoiding security and boarding a plan, albiet untraditionally, without a ticket which could be considered stealing a ride, etc.) and as horrible as this is, it isn't the airport, airline or anyone's fault other than the one who choice to do this act.
